Tax Exemption

TAX EXEMPTION STATUS

Any Individuals or Businesses who qualify for tax exemption through a resale tax certificate may apply to have their Tool and Equipment Sales Corp. account marked as tax exempt. This process does require you have an account set up and approved with the status "Tax Exempt. After approval by our customer service team, purchases made through this account will automatically omit the tax rate at checkout, if product is shipping to a location within the state for which tax is being applied to the state(s) in which you have submitted the approved documentation. Please follow the instructions we've provided below to submit your information to our team and have your account approved for sales tax exemption.

Process to Submit for Tax Exemption

  1. 1)  If you have not already done so, please follow this Link and create a Tool and Equipment account.
  2. 2). Next please contact our customer support department by sending an email to (  Sales "at" toolandequipmentsales "dot" com  ). Be sure to make the subject of this email "Tax Exemption Approval". Please attach to this email a copy of your current completed sales tax exemption form for the state(s) in which you are requesting Tax Exemption status. Make sure to list the description of goods to be purchased as "Tools, Equipment and/or related Supplies," or some similar encompassing terminology that include the types of merchandise you may purchase from Tool and Equipment Sales in the future.
  3. 3). Your submission will be reviewed, upon approval, you will receive notification by email, confirming the tax exempt status of your account. If any further information is required we may also request it at this time. 
  4. 4). Following approval of your tax exempt status, orders placed on the approved account will not be charged tax so long as the order is shipping to the state in which you have a sales tax exemption.

Sales Tax

Tool and Equipment Sales Corp. charges sales tax on shipments made to the following states: California, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma.
